Inspired by Theo
Rescue German Shepherd with Idiopathic Epilepsy
Theo was adopted by our founders, Jake and Catherine, from True North GSD Rescue in 2020. He was diagnosed with Idiopathic Epilepsy in 2021 at only 1.5 years old after a severe bout of seizures landed him in the Emergency Room. To date, Theo still struggles with his Epilepsy but is retains a bright, shining personality that is contagious to everyone he meets.

How We Help
Supporting Dog Owners with Emergent and Preventative Care

Financial Assistance for Struggling Owners
Testing, imaging, pharmaceuticals, and other emergent veterinary bills can stack up. We can provide financial assistance to owners struggling to care for their dog with life-threatening conditions or emergent care needs.

Subsidized Care Programs
Many common ailments that cost owners thousands can be prevented with simple steps. That's why we partner with local vet clinics to provide free or low-cost veterinary care, such as vaccinations. We also partner with pet insurance companies and consultants to ensure your pup is covered in the future.

Community Support Group
Our canine counterparts struggle with life-changing conditions and emergent needs, but us owners also are challenged emotionally, physically, and financially.
Find support, help, and communicate with other families struggling with their own pup's conditions.
How Does the Financial Assistance Program Work?
Veterinary emergencies and costly medical conditions can be extremely taxing for both pets and their owners. Many families cannot afford emergent care and often put themselves in difficult financial situations to pay for life-saving treatments and medical bills.
To be considered for financial assistance, you must fill out our application. Our team of volunteers reviews each and every application on a case-by-case basis. Be sure to fill out the application transparently and in its entirety. Once submitted, a member of our team will contact you to discuss details and next steps.
If you are approved to receive financial assistance, we will contact your dog's veterinary office directly to verify the details of the medical care needed. Financial assistance payments are only made to verified, registered, and accredited veterinary offices, and are never provided to the owners of the dogs directly.
